The Management Team
Termo is managed by the majority shareholder,
David E. Combs, who serves as the Company’s President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Norbert
W. (Bill) Buss, who serves as Vice President, Operations, Francis H. Roth,
serving as Vice President-Corporate Development, and Trent Rosenlieb,
the Operations Manager. All four individuals, to varying degrees, oversee
the daily activities of the company and provide leadership and vision
for Termo to move forward. David, Bill, Francis and Trent are supported
by an excellent group of support staff.
David E. Combs – After completing his
MBA at the University of Southern California, David began a career in
commercial banking with Crocker National Bank. Later, his business interests
shifted and he followed the Combs’ family dream by serving as Chief Operating
Officer, and then Treasurer, of The Termo Company. In 1969, he founded
Termo Company of Texas, an affiliate corporation, where he served as President
for 18 years. David succeeded his father, Eldredge, as President of The
Termo Company in 1981 and successfully merged the company and its affiliate
in 1987. Currently, David serves on the Board of Directors of The Bear
River Club Company. He also served on the boards of Independent Petroleum
Association of America, the Long Beach Museum of Art, National Bank of
Long Beach, the Verde Valley School, California Independent Producers
Association, and was a trustee of Long Beach Memorial Hospital. David
served as President of Beckstrand Cancer Foundation and was a board member
for many years. David is also very active in wildlife conservation organizations
and is past State Chairman of California Ducks Unlimited. He currently
serves on the Board of Trustees for the Foundation for North American
Wild Sheep. <back

Norbert W. 'Bill' Buss – Bill joined The Termo
Company in 1995 and currently serves as Vice President of Operations.
He is responsible not only for production operations, but also reservoir,
reserve and acquisition analysis. Bill has a BS in Petroleum Engineering
from the Colorado School of Mines. He worked for Southern California Gas
Company for ten years as manager of engineering for reservoir development
of their gas storage fields, and for Aminoil USA, Inc. in Huntington Beach
in their onshore and offshore oil fields for the eight years prior. Bill
is a California Registered Professional Petroleum Engineer and a member
of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. <back

Francis H. Roth – Francis joined The Termo
Company in 1998 as Vice President-Corporate Development and is currently a member of the Termo Board of Directors. Francis has more
than 40 years experience in the industry including engineering positions
with Amoco and Chevron and, most recently, was President of HarCor Energy
in Houston. He received a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from the
University of Kansas, an MS degree from the University of Oklahoma, and
an MBA degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. Francis
is a Registered Petroleum Engineer in California and Texas and a member
of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. <back

Trent R. Rosenlieb – Trent joined The Termo
Company in January, 2003 as Operations Manager. Trent has more than 25
years of experience in production operations and drilling. His experience
in California includes engineering and management positions with ARCO
and Occidental Petroleum and, most recently, Trent was in Occidental’s
THUMS Long Beach Unit operations. He has a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering
from the University of Wyoming and is a Registered Petroleum Engineer
in California. Trent also holds an MBA from Keller Graduate School of
Management. Trent is a member of API, SPE, and past president of the West
Coast Chapter of the American Association of Drilling Engineers. <back

Paul Buika – Paul joined The Termo Company in
August of 2007 as Geologist. Paul has more than 28 years experience in
the industry including geological positions with Unocal, McFarland Energy,
Samedan Oil/Noble Energy, and Petrogulf Corporation. He recieved a BS
degree in Geology from the University of Rochester and an MS degree in
Geology from Texas Tech. Paul is a member of AAPG and PSAAPG.

Vincent Naughton – Vince joined The Termo
Company in early 1999 as Controller and is responsible for the overall
management of accounting, audit, income tax, financial planning and performance
analysis, bank financing/relations, and internal and external financing
reporting. Vince brings more than 18 years of experience with independent
oil companies in the California area and, most recently, served as Controller
of a Los Angeles based company. He has a BS degree in Business Administration
from San Diego State University with a major in accounting. <back

Directors
The Directors of The Termo Company consist of David E. Combs, Francis H. Roth, Carolyn M. Foster, and Johnnie D. Odum. All Directors are shareholders
either directly or through a stock option plan.
Outside Directors
Carolyn M. Foster – Carolyn joined The Termo
Company in 1978 after 12 years in a related industry and continued with
Termo until her retirement in 1994 at which time she was Manager- Lands
and Leases, Vice President, and a member of the Board of Directors. Carolyn
has remained on the Board and does consulting work as a Petroleum Landman,
primarily for The Termo Company. Carolyn has an AA in Business and a BA
in History and is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen
and Los Angeles Association of Petroleum Landmen. <back

Johnnie D. Odum – Johnnie is President of
Odum Oil & Gas Co., an independent operator in Colorado and Texas.
Johnnie worked for Getty Oil Co. and TXO before starting on his own as
a consulting engineer. For the past 21 years, he has worked for both independents
and major oil companies including UP Resources and The Termo Company,
providing economic evaluations, and drilling and completion experience
in the Rocky Mountain area, Louisiana and Texas. Johnnie was extensively
involved in Termo’s early acquisition program. Johnnie has a BS in Petroleum
Engineering from Texas Tech University, and has worked in the oil industry
for more than 30 years. He is a current member of the Society of Petroleum
Engineers and American Petroleum Institute. <back
